Know what to practise next.

Use the College Board framework for your exam year. First find the gaps in your Java, then practise applying it under exam conditions. The current course groups content into four units: Using Objects and Methods, Selection and Iteration, Class Creation, and Data Collections.

What your lessons look like

Java before shortcuts.
Trace methods, build classes and test small variations until the behaviour makes sense. If you are coming from Python or Scratch, we’ll make room for Java syntax and objects before adding exam pressure.
FRQs with a reason for every line.
Read the prompt, identify the required behaviour and write a solution. Review it against the published scoring guidance, then fix the pattern behind the mistake rather than memorising an answer.
A revision plan you can actually follow.
Use quizzes and timed questions to decide what to revisit. We can agree on practice between lessons and review points with a parent so preparation has structure outside school.
Plan the exam arrangements early.
Tutoring and exam registration are separate. Homeschool families need to arrange a participating school or test centre. Confirm access and deadlines with its AP coordinator; lessons do not reserve an exam place.

Questions about AP Computer Science A

Lessons use the published College Board framework for your exam year. This is independent tutoring, not a College Board endorsed or Course Audit authorised AP course.

Inheritance was removed from the revised framework effective Fall 2025. It can still be useful Java enrichment, but current exam preparation focuses on the required framework. Recursion remains a course topic.

Yes. We can build a study plan, work through Java and practise exam questions together. You still need to arrange exam registration with a participating school or test centre.

Python is not required for these lessons. We can start with Java foundations, or use existing Python experience as a bridge. The trial helps us judge the time needed before exam practice.

Yes. We practise interpreting prompts, tracing code, writing Java and checking solutions. Timed practice and reviewing scoring guidance help you see where marks are lost.

Yes. Every lesson is live and one to one with Zain. A free trial is available. Choose hourly lessons or a package of 4, 8, 12 or 16 one-hour lessons. We agree on availability and the schedule before you book.
