A project starting point
temperatures = [18, 20, 19, 23]
average = sum(temperatures) / len(temperatures)
print(average)

Start with a few values before reading a file or building a chart.

Learn it, then put it to work.

Choose a manageable investigation, such as comparing temperatures over a week. Check the data before drawing conclusions and explain what it can and cannot tell you.

What your lessons look like

A project with a real question.
Connect coding to science, sport or another homeschool interest. Decide what to measure, inspect the data and explain the findings rather than just producing a chart.
Learn the Python you need.
If coding is new, begin with lists, loops and functions. Add tools such as pandas when the underlying operations are clear.

No, but beginners need time for Python foundations. If your child already writes small programs, we can move into reading and exploring datasets sooner.
